Privacy policy
The short version
We collect an email address only if you type one into a form here. We use Google Analytics to see which pages are read. Product links carry a referral identifier so a purchase can be attributed to this site. We do not sell your data, and you can have your email removed at any time by asking.

Email you give us
The forms on this site are optional. Nothing on HomeChargerCalc.com is behind a signup, no calculator requires an address, and no content is withheld from you for declining. If you do submit an address, it goes to a Google Forms endpoint and into a spreadsheet we control, together with a note of which page the form was on so we can tell which guides are actually useful.
We use that address to send the guide you asked for and occasional related updates about home charging. We do not sell, rent or trade email addresses. Every message carries an unsubscribe link, and you can also simply write to us and ask to be removed, which we will do without asking why.
Email you send us directly is used to reply to you and to act on whatever you told us about. It is not added to any mailing list.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand aggregate traffic: which pages are read, how people arrive, broad geographic regions and device types. This is used to decide what to write and what to fix. It is not used to build a profile of you as an individual, and we do not attempt to identify visitors. Google processes this data under its own privacy policy and terms, and may set cookies or use similar technologies to do so.
Browser-level controls apply to this. Analytics opt-out browser add-ons, tracking protection features and cookie blocking all work normally on this site, and the site functions fully with them enabled.
Affiliate links
Product links on this site carry a referral identifier so that a subsequent purchase can be attributed to us and a commission paid. Following such a link takes you to the retailer, at which point their privacy policy governs what happens, including any cookies they set and any data they collect. We do not receive your name, address, payment details or order contents from the retailer. Reporting we see is aggregate: items ordered, quantities and commissions, with no personal information attached. The commercial arrangement is described in full in the affiliate disclosure.
Cookies and similar technologies
This site does not set cookies of its own for advertising or tracking purposes. Cookies that do appear come from the third parties described above, principally analytics, and from retailers once you have followed a link to them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings without affecting your ability to read anything here or to use any calculator, all of which run entirely in your browser.
Calculators run in your browser
Every calculator on this site performs its arithmetic locally in your browser. The numbers you type into a panel load calculator, a charge time calculator or a cost calculator are not transmitted to us, not stored, and not logged. Close the tab and they are gone.
Hosting and logs
The site is served as static files by a hosting and content delivery provider, which keeps standard request logs for delivery, security and abuse prevention. Those logs typically include IP address, user agent, requested URL and timestamp, and are retained for a limited period under the provider's own policies.
Children
This site is intended for adults planning home electrical and vehicle charging projects. It is not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If you believe a child has submitted an address, write to us and we will delete it.
Your choices and rights
- Access. Ask what we hold about you and we will tell you, which for almost everyone is nothing at all.
- Deletion. Ask us to delete your email address and we will remove it from the list and the spreadsheet.
- Correction. Ask us to correct anything inaccurate.
- Unsubscribe. Use the link in any message, or write to us.
- Do not sell. We do not sell personal information, so there is nothing to opt out of.
To exercise any of these, write to [email protected]. We honour these requests regardless of where you live rather than only where a law requires it.
Changes to this policy
If we change what we collect or who processes it, we will update this page. Because the change that matters to you is a substantive one rather than a date, we describe changes in the text rather than asking you to compare revision stamps. This policy was last reviewed in 2026.
